I love the change in perspective here, and the idea that Otohime has had many guests before Uraschimataro. It is very clear in a well-written way that Otohime is simply very lonely, and wants another human to stay with her for companionship and nothing else. You really get that point across well!
I do think it's interesting that Otohime opened one of the golden boxes but still doesn't know what's inside of them. Did it just disappear before she could see inside it, or did something else happen to stop her from knowing its contents?
